Brunch, Batteries, and Bold Moves: How Local Leaders Are Charging Up Tucson’s Inner City

Jupiter Logix, Inc. and Tucson restaurateurs Jessica & Daniel Cordova have teamed up to install EV chargers at Real Good Brunch, expanding access to clean transportation in the inner city—despite recent funding cuts.

Tucson’s Inner City Gets a Boost from EV and Brunch Powerhouse Partnership

Arizona, US, 1st July 2025, ZEX PR WIRE, Jupiter Logix, Inc., a Tucson-based mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) firm led by Jessica Contreras, has reached its second milestone in deploying EV charging infrastructure to underserved parts of the city. In its latest effort, the company has partnered with acclaimed local restaurateurs Jessica and Daniel Cordova, known for La Chingada and The Neighborhood, to bring EV chargers to their latest venture—Real Good Brunch, located at 1310 S. Alvernon Way, Tucson, AZ. 85711.

While many EV programs have faced recent administrative rollbacks and funding cuts, this collaboration demonstrates how private partnerships can continue pushing forward. Jupiter Logix handled the technical implementation, and the Cordovas brought cultural momentum and community visibility, turning a brunch spot into a symbol of sustainability.

“EVs are becoming more affordable and require less upkeep, which makes them ideal for inner-city families,” said Jessica Contreras, CEO of Jupiter Logix. “But the infrastructure isn’t there yet. That’s why we need local governments to step in and support installations in the neighborhoods that need them most.”

The new chargers installed at Real Good Brunch will be available to both patrons and the public, helping fill a growing gap in inner-city charging access. The site also provides visibility along a busy Tucson corridor—showing how local businesses can drive environmental progress without waiting on bureaucratic support.

Contreras, who also leads Vanport Technologies, believes that deploying clean technology should be as much about equity as it is about innovation. “If we’re serious about the future, we need to build it where people live—not just where funding is easy.”

As EV adoption accelerates across the country, Jupiter Logix’s initiative is a timely reminder: meaningful progress can start with bold partnerships and a clear commitment to serving the community.
